We are proud to have been able to partner with Franciscan Health to provide multiple technology systems for their new state of the art replacement hospital. These systems were comprised of the Rauland nurse call system, Vocia network paging system, ONSSI security camera system (now Qognify), DSX access control system, as well as several high level integrations to provide staff and equipment location services. These systems provide enhanced security within the facility as well as the ability to quickly locate staff and critical healthcare equipment instrumental to providing quality patient care.

Challenge: The leadership of Franciscan was determined to provide the most sophisticated patient care environment in Northern Indiana. This would require multiple technologies to communicate seamlessly so that the staff could utilize the technology to enhance the patient experience.
Solution: Combining the technology of the Rauland Responder 5 nurse call solution with the Vocera communication platform, along with the Evideon patient entertainment system, Communication Company was able to provide a nursing-staff-to-patient communication platform that is unparalleled in the region. Hospital staff can be automatically notified when it is time to revisit the patient to regularly provide necessary care to increase patient satisfaction. Through the communication platform, staff can communicate with patients regularly without the need to enter the room. This process speeds up the ability of staff to attend to the patient's needs and requests.
